FAQs
ORDERING & DELIVERY
How do I place an order?
Find the product of your choice and select colour and quantity. Add it to your basket and head to the checkout once you are ready to pay for your items. After you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email.
Are all of your ceramic vessels pre-order only?
A product I've looked at is marked as being out of stock. Will this come back into stock again?
We aim to restock our products 2-3 times a year. Because our manufacturing partner is based overseas, restocks can often have a long leadtime, so we encourage customers to be signed up to our newsletter so they'll be the first to know when products come back into stock. If there is a particular product that you're interested in, you can also click on the 'notify me' button on the individual product pages.
What payment methods can I use?
We offer safe shopping and accept most major credit and debit cards. Unfortunately we cannot accept payments via American Express. You can also make payment with your GAIA gift card for online purchases.
What do I do if the item I want is out of stock?
We often sell out quickly and as our products are handmade, we cannot always re-stock immediately. If a product is out of stock, click on the ‘notify me’ button to ensure you’re the first to know once it becomes available again. You can also email us at hello@gaiavessels.com with any specific stock-related questions.
Can I amend or cancel my order?
All fulfilled orders cannot be cancelled or changed. If your order is yet to be fulfilled and shipped, please email us at hello@gaiavessels.com and we can organise a refund.
How does shipping work and when will my order arrive?
You can read our full shipping policy here.
What is your returns and exchange policy?
You can read our full returns and exchange policy here.
What do I do if I’m not satisfied with my product?
Please email us immediately stating your order number, and outlining why you are dissatisfied with your product.
Unfortunately we do not offer refunds (unless the product is damaged), but in some cases we do offer exchanges. You can read our full returns and exchange policy here.
Can I order if I’m outside the UK?
Can I track my order?
My order hasn’t arrived or has been damaged, what can I do?
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Where can I find specific information about the products?
Information such as height, weight, storage and cleaning instructions can be found in the description section of each product page in the GAIA shop.
Can I use Gaia Vessels outdoors?
Our products are safe to use outdoors. Whilst items in our floristry collection are designed to be durable and hard-wearing, please be aware that prolonged use, extended periods, or extreme weather conditions outdoors may cause changes over time to the outer glaze on some of our products.
What's the best way to take care of a handmade GAIA ceramic vase?
Our ceramic vessels are all dishwasher safe, meaning you can clean them quickly and effectively after every use. They are handmade stoneware products, so whilst they are weighty, they can chip or break if dropped or mishandled, so they are best handled with care.
Are all of your ceramic vessels handmade?
All of our pieces are individually handmade by skilled craftspeople.
Are your ceramics available to purchase in bulk/wholesale?
We are able to send large amounts of products to customers; bulk delivery is not an issue and the majority of our customers are trade customers within the floristry, wedding and event industries.
Do you offer wholesale or trade discounts?
Do you sell vases?
Yes we do, though with a unique GAIA twist! Our bud vases come in a set of 3 and in their soft ivory colour, they look stunning used alone or grouped together. Take a look at our handmade ceramic vases.
Do you sell ceramic candlesticks?
Yes, we have a range of candlestick holders and tealight holders. We have a beautiful ceramic candlestick trio with varied heights and a smooth, matte finish or you can choose from our textured ceramic votive holders. You can also use our ceramic styling discs which are ideal for using with chunky pillar candles.
Are your handmade ceramic vases suitable for both fresh and dried flower arrangements?
Yes absolutely, our ceramic vessels are suitable for both fresh and dried floral arrangements. We suggest using chicken wire secured in place with floral tape with our vessels to help create structure and stability for your arrangements, and this works especially well when using fresh flowers.
If designing and arrangement using The Runner, this should be all you need, but if designing in any of our ceramic bowls then a flower frog in addition will also help to give anchorage to your creations.
We also sell Lids for our Footed Bowls and Low Bowls, which fit perfectly inside the lip of the bowl and are fantastic for using with dried flowers.
Who designs GAIA ceramics?
All of our GAIA vessels are designed by floral designers Jennie Evans and Jess Finch, the company's co-founders. Frustrated at the lack of elegant and sophisticated vessels for their weddings and events, Jen and Jess decided to design a range of their own ceramic products to fill the gap in the market.

What are the advantages of using handmade ceramic vases for flower arrangements compared to mass-produced vases?
We have found that the main advantage to using handmade ceramic vessels as opposed to the mass-produced options you often find in wholesalers, is that our vessels are sturdy and water-tight, meaning that they won't tip or fall over when packed full with flowers and water.
Additionally, they were designed by florists with flower arranging for weddings and events in mind, so they will bring a sleek, stylish and elegant aesthetic to your floral designs. Rather than worrying about how to cover an ugly bowl underneath your beautiful creation, you can be safe in the knowledge that this vessel will perfectly complement and elevate your design.
Are ceramic vessels eco-friendly?
GAIA vessels are made with sustainability in mind. Hard wearing and designed to be used without the need for floral foam, but instead with reusable materials such as chicken wire and floral frogs, you can build your GAIA collection over time and use your products time and time again.
Are you open to collaborations with other artists/designers/florists?
Yes absolutely! We love the idea of collaborating with other creatives. Please get in touch with us to discuss a potential collaboration with us.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! You can purchase an e-gift card or a physical gift card here. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
Discount codes cannot be applied to gift card purchases, but gift cards can be used as a form of payment in conjunction with a discount code.
WORKSHOP INFORMATION
Do you teach floral design?
New for 2024, we have introduced SOLSTICE floral design workshops. Taking place every quarter, these seasonal workshops provide expert tutoring and much more.
We offer a full day of practical floristry tuition, so you'll learn floral design techniques from the experts themselves! Please take a look at our main SOLSTICE workshop page.
Places always sell out very fast, so we strongly recommend signing up to our mailing list to ensure you're the first to hear when workshop bookings open for our next workshop.
I've already attended one SOLSTICE workshop, is there any point in me booking another one?
SOLSTICE workshops have been created with seasonality in mind, meaning even if you've been to one of our previous events, you'll learn new techniques and the chance to work with entirely different seasonal flowers and foliage next time around.
Furthermore, each workshop is designed to cater to different aspects of professional floristry; whether that's learning how to deliver large scale events, tips on flower sourcing and selection, mastering sustainable methods and mechanics, or discovering the tools required for business growth and development.
Our locations are always carefully chosen, ensuring a magical day spent in the most beautiful surroundings, with an incredible seasonal meal and refreshments, professional photography and more. Our workshops are never the same experience twice.
How do I book one of your SOLSTICE floral design workshops?
We are running 4 workshops in 2024, the first of which, SOLSTICE Spring was a huge success. Keep your eye on the SOLSTICE workshop page to see what's coming and to find out when booking opens.
You can also make sure you're following GAIA on Instagram where we'll also keep you updated.
